Hidden rock

Back to the hills and a campsite on the long cut to Jerez. I’m wanting to see the Lipizzaner horses there. I can see a proper performance for around €27 or a training session for €7… Herself will doubtless sulk at being left behind even tho’ she hates horses. (She also doesn’t like vets, but that didn’t stop her flirting unashamedly with a rather dishy Swiss one who was staying on the same site at Valdevaqueros.)

For our last afternoon walk on the beach the wind moderated a little, enough that my face was spared a scouring but not enough to discourage the kite surfers who were crowding the sea – at one point I counted 47 …



As Tarifa disappeared in the rear view mirror, or rather the wide lens reversing camera, I was looking forward to getting a good view of Gibraltar in the Lumix lens. Gibraltar, however, decided not to co-operate and shyly hid itself behind the one (low lying) cloud in the sky. It that’s the attitude, let the Spanish have it back …
